The Lancaster County Commissioners recently voted to use over $4M in American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds for “affordable housing” projects. The $350B in ARPA funds (supported by Democrats and Biden) distributed throughout the United States came after the $2.2T in CARES Act funds (supported by Democrats, Republicans, and Trump). Instead of rejecting this money, Lancaster County accepted it and is now using it for, among other things, government-sponsored housing projects. Local Pastor Joel Saint (Independence Reformed Bible Church) joins The Lancaster Patriot managing editor Chris Hume to discuss the concept of government involvement in housing.
