Rhode Island State Senator Joshua Miller (D) was arrested and charged last week for vandalism after the legislator allegedly “keyed” an SUV.
The vehicle’s owner identified Miller, 69, to authorities after claiming to see him standing beside his vehicle and gripping a key while quickly walking away after being confronted, The Daily Wire reports.
The unidentified victim of the vandalism, reportedly a supporter of former President Donald Trump, saw a vehicle with a “Re-elect Senator Josh Miller” bumper sticker near the incident and looked up Miller online and identified him as the man who vandalized his vehicle.
Miller initially denied the accusation.
“He was blocking my way, saying I scratched his car, I didn’t scratch his car,” Miller said in a video posted on social media. “I’m a state senator – I think he’d recognize me. I think he’s one of the gun nuts.”
The next day, police went to interview Miller at his home and the senator admitted to the vandalism accusation.
Miller went to the police station voluntarily and was charged with vandalism and malicious injury to property. He was released on $1,000 personal recognizance.
“Nobody is above the law, including those who make and enforce the laws,” Cranston Police Chief Michael Winquist said in a statement. “The officers who handled this investigation did so with fairness, integrity, and without preferential treatment.”
According to a video posted by The Post Millenial, Miller once told a man, “Go f*ck yourself” after he told Miller, “The Second Amendment shall not be infringed, you people need to understand that.”
According to Mr. Miller’s bio, he owns restaurants, has a son that attends Yale, and is concentrating on laws handing out ever more health freebies to the suffering “poor” as well as focusing on drug addicts.
Heroes like him need victims as he enriches himself. Funny how he has offspring who attend one of the most exclusive schools in the world. Political favoritism perhaps?
Write or call them to see if this repulsive liar will be sanctioned.
