The Lancaster County Commissions recently proclaimed May 2023 to be “Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month.” The proclamation included a recognition that various pagan religious celebrations are beneficial for the greater community. During public comments, Commissioner Parsons called the Hindu celebration Diwali “awesome.” At the same time, the proclamation highlighted an Asian-American and former resident of Lancaster County, one Mr. Hong Noek Woo (1834-1919). However, perhaps unbeknownst to the commissioners, Woo dedicated his life to a mission which flies directly in the face of their proclamation: he brought the gospel to China and sought to radically abolish the pagan culture (with its religious idols and ceremonies) and replace it, not with “American culture,” but with Christian culture. In this episode of The Lancaster Patriot podcast, local pastor Joel Saint joins Chris Hume to discuss the commissioners’ proclamation and Mr. Woo’s dedication to changing, not accepting, Chinese culture.

Since government is touting state seperate from religion, why are these government people pushing religion and religious celebrations. This whole proclamation is another way to attempt to normalize one world order mentality. Just as government (Fed, state, and now local) are trying to do.
