A person was killed in an accident involving a bulldozer Monday afternoon in West Cocalico Township.
On Oct. 17, at approximately 2:00 p.m., Ephrata Police responded to the 600 block of Mount Airy Road, West Cocalico Township, for a person run over by a bulldozer. Police and emergency crews determined one man was killed after being struck by the bulldozer.
According to a statement from the Ephrata Police Department, “two men were cutting trees in a nearby ravine when the bulldozer rolled down the hill, crushing and killing one of the men.”
The incident is under investigation and the victim’s name has not been released. Ephrata Police was assisted at the scene by the Lancaster County Coroner’s Office, Ephrata Ambulance, Schoeneck Fire Department, and Denver Fire Department.
