The Ark Encounter, owned and operated by Answers in Genesis, has been named the best religious museum in the United States, according to USA Today’s 10Best Poll.
The centerpiece of the Ark Encounter is a 510-foot-long replica of Noah’s Ark, built according to the measurements recorded in the Bible. A zoo, virtual reality center, and large family playground are also available to visitors.
“I’m thrilled that more and more families have been discovering and enjoying our wholesome, God-honoring attractions in our constantly changing culture,” Ken Ham, CEO and founder of the Ark Encounter, said. “The voting confirms that our area is America’s leading faith-based destination. I’m very grateful that our international attractions have been recognized like this.”
Other finalists included the Billy Graham Library (#5), the Museum of the Bible (#3) and the Creation Museum (#2). The Creation Museum is also owned and operated by Answers in Genesis.
During 2023, all children 10 and under enjoy free admission to both the Ark Encounter and the Creation Museum.
