I enjoyed the conversation, and while I can admire Saints willingness to call a spade a spade, I don’t know if it is necessary that he uses so much language that isolates us all into these factions. For example, I am expecting that Tom Jones is not part of “them” but rather a part of “us” ….those are your terms that you guys us on the podcast. maybe I am a little sensitive to this considering I had heard my Grandfather talk like this about other Christians and churches for the first 35 years of my life. And in these 35 years Grandpa slowly became an island to the degree that he no longer went to church. because “he was basically the only Christian left”. So my thinking here is that Jones and Saint are on the same team and a little more respect for the other person would be good even if they have not yet reached the same understanding, and would be helpful to the whole team.
