Pennsylvania State Rep. Dan Frankel (D-23) is calling for a law to ensure parents and other guardians cannot be investigated or punished for obtaining “gender-affirming” care for minors.
In a House memorandum released Wednesday, Frankel, who represents parts of Allegheny County, said “recent attacks by politicians on gender-diverse children and their caretakers” are motivating him to introduce legislation to support “gender-affirming” healthcare.
“Every major medical association in the United States recognizes the necessity of transition-related care as a treatment option for improving the physical and mental health of transgender people,” Frankel said in the memo. “Study after study has shown that due to heightened risks of suicide and self-harm, forgoing gender-affirming care can have tragic consequences.”
According to WebMD, gender-affirming care can include surgical options that can be years-long and include what their website calls “top” or “bottom” surgery.
“If a person wants to change their external genitals, they can ask for surgery to alter the vaginal opening,” a webpage from WebMD states. “A surgeon can also construct a penis for them. There are several techniques for doing this.”
In the House memo, Frankel also said “gender-affirming hormone therapy” is a medically necessary service.
Frankel’s memo was released one day after Idaho Governor Brad Little signed into law a bill banning minors from “gender-affirming” procedures.
In a transmittal letter, Little said the Idaho law would help protect “minors from surgeries or treatments that can irreversibly damage their healthy bodies.”
He is a low life. But the floodgates are now open and every debased person is now able to run amok in the hopes children and young adults can be permanently harmed by this new angle in the never ending effort to kill Western Civilization. Their legions are many, and I think Christ himself may have to intervene as we on the right are against the ropes.
